Dr. Vincent Reppucci

Dr. Reppucci is a board certified ophthalmologist specializing in diseases and surgery of the retina, vitreous, and macula. He has over 30 years experience in diagnosing and treating vitreoretinal diseases, ranging from the most common to extremely complex. He is a senior attending at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai and also at Mount Sinai West with privileges at Danbury Hospital and the Danbury Surgical Center. He has been on the full-time faculty at both Cornell and Columbia Universities and has trained generations of ophthalmology residents and vitreoretinal surgeons.
Growing up in the Bronx, Dr. Reppucci attended Cardinal Spellman High School, and received a degree in Biomedical Engineering from Columbia University before attending the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He performed his ophthalmology residency at Columbia Univeristy, Harkness Eye Institute, and his Vitreoretinal fellowship at New York Hospital-Cornell Medcial Center under the guidance of D. Jackson Coleman, Stanley Chang and the late Dr. Harvey Lincoff; well recognized giants in the field of retina.
His specific areas of interest include diabetic retinopathy, macular holes, macular pucker, recurrent retinal detachments, and complex retinal surgery. He commonly performs second opinions for other ophthalmologists and retinal specialists with proficiency in dealing with some of the most difficult and complicated cases.
Dr Reppucci has published numerous articles and for over 25 years has been sought out and invited as a lecturer thoughout the United States and Europe to present vitreosurgical techniques. He is an original Charter Inductee member of the Retina Hall of Fame, founded in 2016, and since 1994 has been voted by his peers to be included in every edition of Best Doctors in New York (Castle and Connelly) and more recently Super Doctor’s. He is a member of the American Society of Retinal Surgeons with Senior Honor Status and the Retina Society.
